Its Sri Lanka chapter joined hands with Religious Youth Service (RYS) to build a bridge to connect two parts of Ella village in Elpitiya (Galle District), Sri Lanka in August 2017 as GYSF's first project. It was constructed by an international group of over 65 participants, who worked together for over 10 days to help a community of 50 villagers. The villagers were now connected with the outside world for jobs, education, goods and services, significantly impacting their lives. The participants had spiritual & cultural interaction, visits to historical sites and community service as part of their experience.
Second project was completed as a 500 tree planting project in 2018 in Bopath Ella, Kuruwita, SriLanka. see (20+) Global Youth Service Foundation | Facebook (20+) Global Youth Service Foundation | Facebook
